St Peter's Class
Welcome to an insight into St Peter's class, where we love to learn!
Our main class teacher is Miss Ford.
Our teaching assistants are Mrs Valentine and Mrs Smith.
Every half term, our learning is shared through our newsletters:
Monday 3rd June 2024 School Trip...
We went to Barley Hall, The Shambles and the Dig. We learnt about Tudor life, how sources were found and found lots of Tudor houses in York. We had a great day and the children loved it.
In St Peter’s class, we learnt about Hinduism. We learnt about mandalas and we created our own in class. The children were very creative and enjoyed designing their own.
In DT, we looked at pneumatic toys. We used the theme jungle book to create our jungle toys.
We enjoyed a History Day with Catherine Conyard, where we learnt about Ancient Egypt, Howard Carter, mummification, hieroglyphics and Egyptian games. We had great fun!
St Peter’s Class Charity
The children have decided to raise money for Leeds Hospital charity. Leeds Hospital Charity supports many areas in the hospital and they asked us to choose which area we would like to support. The children decided they would like the money to be raised to be given to the children's wards as they would like to make the stay for children more comfortable and enjoyable.
We collected thirty nine Advent calendars as a class. A volunteer came to collect them and took them to the children’s ward to share with children who were staying in hospital during the Christmas period.
