Class charity
In our class, we’ve chosen to raise awareness and money for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. This charity is important to us because we love nature and want to make sure we conserve, protect and restore wildlife !
Everyone is welcome
Through our learning, we understand the importance of our class virtues, which are citizenship and self-control.
We know having these virtues helps us to develop into confident, independent and well-rounded individuals!
Beyond the classroom
In our class, we are looking forward to a wide range of experiences this year to help us develop our love of learning. In the Autumn term, we will be going to Armley Mills for a Victorian classroom experience in line with our history topic, which is the Victorians. In January, Year 6 will be heading off to High Adventure for the residential. This would be an amazing 3 days where the children will be given the chance to be active in a number of ways, such as using zip wires, orienteering and abseiling.
Engaging with our learning
This half term, in literacy, we are working on a novel called "Rose Blanche", a fascinating story about a young German girl who discovers a concentration camp during World War II, to help us with our writing.
