St Joseph's Section 48 report
St Joseph's was last inspected by the Diocese of Leeds on the 23rd and 24th June 2026. During this inspection the school was graded as OUTSTANDING. We were delighted with the result and the full report is available for you to read on this page.
As always, it is a great honour and privilege to work at St Joseph’s and it is wonderful to see all of the hard work, commitment and dedication of all staff, pupils and parents being recognised.

- The school mission, "Journeying with Christ through love, compassion and humility", is deeply embedded across the school.
- Pupils demonstrate a strong understanding of Catholic virtues and Catholic Social Teaching.
- Behaviour is exemplary and relationships across the school are exceptionally strong.
- The school is highly inclusive, particularly for pupils with SEND and vulnerable families.
- Pupils achieve exceptionally well and attainment exceeds that in other core subjects.
- Teaching is of a very high quality, with lessons that are creative, reflective and challenging.
- Pupils are highly engaged and enjoy RE.
- Prayer and liturgy are central to school life.
- Pupils participate confidently in prayer and can explain how prayer influences their daily lives.
- Strong parish links enhance pupils' spiritual development.
