RE - Reconciliation

In R.E. this term we are becoming more familiar with using the Bible. We are beginning to use quotes from the bible in our work. Some children have retold the story of, 'The lost Son.' using puppets.

English

In English we are learning about Explanation texts. We are going to write our own health and safety poster for how to stay safe in the playground. We went on a poster hunt to find posters around the school.

Science

Week 1nIn Science we have been learning about forces. We investigated how we can push and pull different toys. We tried out lots of different forces. We also discovered that when we didn't use a force the object would stay still. Week 2 - We have explored gravity and friction in the playground. The children tried to vary the forces and asked lots of questions e.g. When I don't touch the ball it still moves. Why? How gently can I turn a skipping rope?

Year 3/4 Spelling

Each week we will be learning a new spelling rule in class. These documents share what spellings we have been learning and give you chance to learn them at home too!

Swimming
From January to July we will be going swimming on Tuesday morning. The children can wear their tracksuit to school to help with changing. The children need to bring their swimming things to school in a bag that they can carry. They will need a towel, swimming trunks and a swimming costume. It is also helpful to bring a carrier bag so that the children can put their wet things into this. This will avoid letters and reading books getting wet if they are in the same bag.

PE

We will continue to have a PE session on Wednesday morning aswell.

Our class virtue is Faith.

I know that faith is a gift from God.

Faith helps me grow in friendship with Jesus.

I show my faith by living my life filled with hope and love.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
